I'm pretty techy but I'm not planning on designing and producing a new mouse or anything (at this point). You will pull in more people this way, not just tech types. Think about creating some "how-to" videos for more conventional items like simple woodworking products, not just shiny tech objects like a "new mouse" etc. I want to be able to check the distance between these boards easily, but cant even make the dimension sketch (or whatever it is) work, it seems to only want to work on one body at a time, not two components?Īnyway, I think many people will come to this nice software by way of technology they know (home design, woodworking) and move towards the newer tech (3d printing) thanks to the CAM integration. Where is this on fusion? I made two 2圆 boards in fusions (making one a component then copying), and I put them a certain distance apart.
This is separate from the tool that actually adds dimensions to drawings.
it allows reference lines to be generated easily and one can measure easily on a drawing and check things. What about more on just how to select things accurately and then move things around?Īlso, in sketchup there is a dimension tool that is really great. I'm trying to make Fusion work for my woodworking projects, but finding info on even basic functionality like moving components around lining them up etc is difficult. I'm a sketchup user, and its simplicity and intuitiveness are great, but limited function and the $600 pricetag for decent functions is discouraging.
